For a quick (that turned out not so quick) break we went to this highly recommended cafe called the Vogue Cafe. We ordered three chocolate milkshakes known as Magic Milkshakes. All around us we could see customers sipping out of large glasses filled with yummy toppings such as cotton candy and sour squirms. This is a review of my experience there.
The location of the cafe in the mall is quite hidden away. It was in the corner down a little alley. There were definately positive reasons for this, such as the noise that it would've created in the centre of the building, but it was hard to find. The cafe itself was small and did not accommodate the amount of customers there were. Even with the extended outdoor area that went into the carpark there was still a lack of space.
Service:
We had to wait for about 10-15 minutes outside for a table. Here we were given a menu so we could decide what we wanted which was a very good idea, as it lessened the amount of time we spent inside. The staff were very nice but busy. We finally got a table in a really nice spot, away from the line and the middle of the cafe. We were approached right away by a waitress, who quickly took our order. Our 4 drinks (we also ordered a tea) took over 20 minutes to finally come.
Menu:
The one thing we noticed was the confusing menu. It was not very clearly laid out and we missed some other drinks we might of been interested in. This was only a slight negative but was a bit annoying when we realised there was more.
Drinks:
The most important part- the drinks themselves. The drinks came out in a large glass. They had a snake wrapped around the straw, coloured popcorn sprinkled on top and a chocolate rim with hundreds and thousands. Very photogenic.
The chocolate milkshake was nice. It wasn't a stand out but it wasn't a flop either. The only thing that I thought didn't really work was the popcorn. This might've just been a personal thing but if definately wasn't my favourite part of the drink. This is because they got soggy as you drank, and little chunks kept on coming up the straw.
I would rate this cafe a 7/10. Of course, this is only my personal opinion, so don't judge it completely off this review. It's a bit of fun to go there, as there's crazy looking drinks everywhere, and the food looked amazing as well.
I would love you to leave your opinions and experiences from this cafe below.
See you later!
