My Desk

I recently redid my desk space, and I'm quite proud of it. I woke up one day and saw a picture of someones desk in my instagram feed and thought, oh my gosh, I need that. So, in one day, I transformed my crowded, messy desk to a sleek, simple desk.

My desk is one of my favourite spaces in my room (and my bed too). It's my spot of organisation, study and inspiration. It's still definitely a work in progress, but this is it so far.

My desk is one of the first things you see when you enter my room. Therefore, it's really important for me to keep it clean and organised, which it wasn't before. Beside my desk I have a filing cabinet, where I store loose sheets, pens and other stationary. I also have shelving space and drawers. This means I can clear my desk of unwanted books etc and just have the essentials on show.

Above my desk is my pinboard/whiteboard. I've always loved whiteboards and they help me stay organised with little reminders. Whilst redoing my desk, I looked on Pinterest for some cute photos and quotes that I printed and stuck on my pinboard. I also used some cutouts from the latest Frankie magazine and some polaroids of me and my friends and family.

Starting from the right of my desk, I have my wooden tray from Kikki.K. In that I keep my diary, purse and other little bits and bobs. Next to that I have my rose gold clock that I absolutely love. This is also from Kikki.K (you'll find a lot of my stationary is from Kikki.K). I have a little glass bowl that I got for my birthday, a quote stand from Kikki.K and some gemstones that I have collected over the years.

In the middle of my desk I have a small pot plant. Not only does this look great, but it gives makes me quite relaxed. I have a wooden pencil holder (again from Kikki.K) where I store only a few of my pens and pencils to avoid over crowding. I also keep my kit. lip balm on my desk, and a rose gold box, where I store my favourite necklace and rings.

The left side of my desk is designated to my books. This way, I don't have my books sprawled everywhere. On display in this picture I have a colouring books, a couple of notepads, my Words to Inspire book, which I adore and a frankie magazine.

The desk itself is in desperate need of updating. As I said before, the whole area is still a work in progress, but I hope you can take away a little inspiration for your own desk area.
Thanks for reading and have a great day!
Lots of love- Taila xx
