interviewing chessie

Hey lovelies! 

I was super lucky to be able to ask Chessie from Freshly Pickked a few questions, which I was so excited about as she is my favourite blogger out there! Her blog is number 2 in my most frequently visited, and I kinda jump with excitement when she posts on instagram (don't we all?) ;)

She is such an inspiring blogger + person, so I hope you enjoy getting to know Chessie a little bit more! 

Why did you start blogging? /

Well I had my Instagram and wanted to start a space where I could share more images in the one post and be able to write more about them and so blogging seemed like the perfect thing for me to start doing. I also wanted to expand from Instagram and have a bigger platform to share my creative content. 

What is one thing that keeps you going + motivated? /

In terms of my blog I guess it's my own motive to keep improving, growing and expressing my creative side through photography and style, but other bloggers and instagrammers inspires me to keep going and sparks new ideas for me to share which creates a whole other motivation for me to create that content. I love seeing my ideas in my head come to life! 

What is your favourite clothes brand? /

After travelling through Europe and a bit of America I have a couple of new favourites but I can't peg down just one so I'll give you a couple- Anthropologie, Brandy Melville, Urban Outfitters, Zara, Gorman ++ more !

What blogs + bloggers inspire you? /

Many blogs inspire me but primarily it would have to be @viewsofnow ! Although our style is quite 

different, I just really enjoy her posts and how she styles everything so brilliantly. Others would be 

@_cathy, @harperandharley, @beansiie, @earthlingmaxi and many more!

What are your dreams for the future? /

To be doing a job I love to do, living close to family and/or friends, to still be blogging, to have a cute 

apartment or house which is nice and airy and filled with things that I love and treasure. But best of allI dream to be happy and content. 

What is one tip you would give a new blogger? /

I know everyone says this but be yourself. It is so vital in an industry where millions of people are posting photos and if you just copy or pretend to be someone you're not then you'll never stand out and be noticed. Followers look for originality and difference and if you have that (you do, trust me) then express it through your photos.

What is the best present you have ever received? /

Oh my godfather. Um. Probably my Christmas present this year which was a canon G7X and this trip overseas to Europe and America - it has been utterly amazing and such a wonderful experience!

What are three things that make your day? /

- seeing / riding my horse Albert 

- spending time photographing or styling blog posts or spending time blogging

- and spending time with my family and friends

What is the best part about blogging? /

Two things I thoroughly enjoy about blogging and that is being able to express my style and creativity to a community that appreciates and loves it. It's so satisfying being proud of my work and then receiving really lovely feedback on it. And the second is being able to meet amazing, likeminded people and being exposed to amazing opportunities I wouldn't have had if it weren't for blogging.
