wolgan valley visual diary / 01

On the long weekend Zoe took me up to Wolgan Valley in the Blue Mountains and Oh. My. Gosh. How beautiful is it 😍 These photos were all taken by me on a few different occasions. The first day we were up there we spent the afternoon exploring and wandering around. The light was so amazing and golden. We were at the 1832 homestead where there's an old house, fences, trees and garden patches.... perfect for photos with the mountains and sun shining behind it. You'll also see Zoz featured in a few of these looking stunning as always.

The next morning we made a committed effort to wake up at 6:15 and get out of our super warm and comfy bed to head back down and watch the sunrise. Holy guacamole. It was one of those times when you wish you could just take photos of everything with your eyes because your camera couldn't even capture how amazing it was... even though they did turn out pretty gorgeous. The grass was covered in frost and the mist masked the mountains reflecting the pink sunshine. Snapchat told us it was -3 degrees... the weather app told us it was 0 but you get the idea that it was pretty cold. So cold in fact that we didn't even want to take our hands out of our pockets to take photos, and we ran back to the villa, jumped into bed again + watched if i stay.

I love these photos so much, even though we were freezing cold they give me such a warm + happy feeling remembering how much fun we had and how amazing it was to experience something so beautiful.

This is part one of the photos, the next post will be a little fashion one that we took while we were also there that afternoon/morning so look forward to that! :)
Lots and lots of love, Taila xx

  2. I love these photos so much! The fog, the sun flares, and the combination of color and black and white is so perfect. Also your writing made me so happy - watching the sunrise is on my summer bucket list and I feel inspired to hurry up and get that crossed off. I think it'll be so worth it :)
